Angel Melgiuzo

Economist based between Spain and Colombia, with 25 years of experience in the private sector (BBVA and AT&T), public sector (Government of Spain) and multilateral organizations (OECD and IDB), specialized in public policies and digital economy.
He is currently a partner at ARGIA, Green, Tech & Economics consulting, UNESCO senior adviser on artificial intelligence, consultant for multilateral organizations on digital and greentech policies, senior fellow of the China-Latin America programme at the Interamerican Dialogue program and visiting fellow of the European Council for Foreign Relations, and advisory board member of CCLATAM think-tank.
Angel was vice president of Economic, External and Regulatory Affairs at AT&T VRIO Latin America, head of the Latin America and the Caribbean Unit at the OECD Development Center, senior specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), senior advisor at the Economic Office of the President of the Spanish Government and principal economist at the BBVA Financial Group. He received his Ph.D. and B.A. in economics from the Universidad Complutense, Madrid (Spain).
